SPEX CertiPrep to Organize workshop called "Your Questions Answered about Certified Reference Materials" for Pittcon 2009
2009 marks Pittcon's 60th year of service to the laboratory science community. Be sure to attend our free technical program "Your Questions Answered about Certified Reference Materials." The workshop is scheduled for March 10, 2009 at 1:30pm.


METUCHEN, NJ, February 27, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- SPEX CertiPrep's President Ralph Obenauf and VP of Manufacturing Thomas Mancuso are organizing a workshop for Pittcon 2009 in Chicago, IL scheduled for March 10, 2009 at 1:30pm in Room S501bc titled, "Your Questions Answered about Certified Reference Materials". The workshop will include 5 presentations from Chemical Reference Material Manufacturers Association (CRMMA) member companies. They will be discussing various topics related to Certified Reference Materials. After the presentations there will be a question and answer session for all attendees.

The scheduled presentation topics that will be discussed are A Stable Sulfide Standard: An Alternative to Zinc Acetate preservation, Reference Materials (Certified or Not) for the Pharmaceutical Industry, Preparation of Reference Materials in the Food Testing Industry, The Need, Use and Implementation of traceability and uncertainty Measurements in an Analytical Testing Laboratory, and Relevance of ISO 17025 and ISO Guide 34 to Chemical Reference Materials Manufacturers .
