MINNEAPOLIS, MN, November 20, 2010 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Stanford Who's Who welcomes James Lamoureaux to the ranks of leading professionals as a result of his exceptional effort in the Energy Industry. As Founder and CEO of IGP, as well as throughout his incredible 9 years in the industry, James has consistently demonstrated the vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be successful in the business world.
IGP is a Cleantech technology company which integrates proven technology into existing chemical plants in order to produce green chemicals and fuel additives. They are building a natural product to liquid conversion company with the IGP BLUE process that produces butanol and pentanol as biodegradable alternatives to petroleum-based specialty chemicals and oxygenates.
Mr. Lamoureaux is a visionary leader who is responsible for the invention of Infinatrim and Ultratrim. The combination of his experience and network in the energy industry globally has enabled the creation of an international team of experts in multiple specialties, such as gasification, catalytic synthesis, refining, downstream products, fuels, chemicals and CO2. James has been involved in a number of entrepreneurial endeavors focusing on technology development and commercialization including low-carbon gasification of coal in a transport bed reactor. He attributes his professional success to his friends and colleagues as well as learning from his failures.
James got his start in the industry after September 11, 2001 when he was extremely introspective and focused on where he could use his talents to make a difference in the challenges facing the world we would leave for our children. Alternative energy and reducing water use in chemical processes were and are his main focus. Mr. Lamoureaux co-founded the company with Dr. Zack Chen, a dynamic Chinese businessman, after working on a project together. The goal of IGP was to bring proven technology that could produce biodegradable high energy fuels and chemicals reducing the emission of CO2 into the atmosphere.
James is incredibly proud of the success IGP has had in China where the company is engineering the first commercial IGP BLUE factory. The first phase of the operation is expected to be up and running by late 2012. Mr. Lamoureaux is also quite pleased with the world class management team that IGP has assembled. He foresees IGP BLUE as having global brand building coal and bio refineries bringing biodegradable chemicals and low carbon fuels to China, and IGP taking a leadership position in reducing CO2 emissions in China.
