Michael Cook enhances manufacturing processes at Thermo Fisher Scientific

ENGLEWOOD, CO, May 5, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Michael Cook, Operations Leader for Thermo Fisher Scientific, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in process improvement.

With 11 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, Mr. Cook is valued for his ability to enhance processes and make them more efficient. He marks his third year as operations leader at Thermo Fisher Scientific, a manufacturer of scientific equipment such as analytical instruments, laboratory equipment, software, consumables and reagents. In his present capacity, Mr. Cook is responsible for overseeing the health care division of the distribution center for products and chemicals, managing the picking, packing and shipping department, and supervising a staff of nine that reports directly to him. He credits much of his success to the talents and discipline of this multifunctional team.

Mr. Cook received a master's degree in business management in 2006 from Colorado Technical University. He is a member of the Colorado Technical University Alumni Association. As he moves forward, he aspires to attain a directorial position at Thermo Fisher Scientific.
